Matt Day is a one-man shop in Newton.  He makes wooden items, by hand, hoping to create something that is useful, durable, and beautiful and practical for your home. All of his items are made from reclaimed logs that have fallen in storms or have been taken down for safety reasons. He works with hand-powered, traditional tools. A carving axe, adze, drawknife, gouges, and other tools give things some shape; guiding the transformation from log to bowl or spoon.
