Opens with aromas of cherry liqueur, ripe plum, strawberry compote and fresh leather. The palate offers lovely fruit flavors of cherry kirsch, strawberry preserves and warm spice. Soft, plush tannins and well balanced acidity lead to an elegant, oak tinged finish.

Fun Facts:

Sebastiani’s history began when Samuele Sebastiani emigrated from the Tuscany region of Italy in 1895 and started Sebastiani nine years later. A stonemason by trade, he quarry-mined the Sonoma hills for cobblestones that were used to build the streets of San Francisco. He worked long hours and saved carefully to buy land in Sonoma County, from which he would make wine for the Sonoma community and San Francisco’s restaurants.

Fermentation Mode: 

The grapes are crushed and destemmed before being placed in a stainless steel tank for a two-day cold soak, then fermented to dryness at relatively warm temperatures. After pressing the wine off the skins, it is racked to a mixture of barrels and stainless steel tanks.
